Sport Massage

Sports massage enhances your horse’s performance, prevents injury, and supports recovery. Whether it’s preparing for an event or helping your horse recover afterwards, this treatment promotes flexibility, reduces muscle tension, and improves circulation.

Balance pads and core activation

Balance pads and core activation exercises are designed to improve your horse’s stability, posture, and core strength. These techniques target the horse’s proprioception (body awareness), helping to enhance performance, prevent injuries, and support rehabilitation from existing issues.

During the initial consultation, we’ll assess your horse’s condition, discuss their history, and create a tailored treatment plan. This session includes a full evaluation and the first treatment to address any immediate concerns.

03. Get to Work

Your horse’s treatment sessions will be conducted in a calm, professional manner, focusing on their unique needs. Whether it’s massage, rehabilitation, or advanced therapies like red light or ultrasound, we’ll provide expert care to support their health and well-being.

Areas Covered

Ashleigh provides treatments within a maximum one-hour journey from TN25.

  • No Travel Charge: For locations within a 15-mile radius of TN25.
  • Travel Fee: 80p per mile beyond 15 miles (dependent on other bookings in your area).

Efforts are made to group bookings nearby to minimise travel costs.

Booking is simple! Contact Ashleigh to arrange your horse’s treatment. Please have your horse’s details and location ready when booking.

  • Payments Accepted:
    • Bank transfer (before the appointment) – Contact Ashleigh for details.

Important Information

  • Ashleigh is a fully qualified, registered, and insured equine massage therapist with expertise in identifying and treating muscular issues. Please note the following:
    Ashleigh works under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 and will require veterinary consent if your horse is currently under veterinary care.
    If your horse is in good health, consent is not required, but Ashleigh will request details of your registered veterinary practice.
    Should Ashleigh recommend a veterinary referral upon assessment, the full treatment cost will still apply.
  • Conditions of Service
    Please ensure your horse is clean and dry before treatment. Wet or muddy horses cannot be treated; the entire treatment cost will apply.
    Be honest about your horse’s temperament. Ashleigh reserves the right to stop treatment if she deems it unsafe to proceed, and the full cost will still apply.
  • Cancellation Policy
    We understand plans can change, but we kindly request notice if you need to cancel or rearrange:
    Less than 24 hours’ notice: Full treatment cost due.
    Less than 48 hours’ notice: Half treatment cost due.
    More than 48 hours’ notice: No charge.
